Similar to Medical Hospitals, ITS Dental Hospital has multiple departments and each department specializes in a particular field of Dentistry. The departments are listed below as well as in the menu bar.
Oral Medicine Diagnosis & Radiology: This is the branch of dentistry that specializes in the deep diagnosis of the oral health of the patient. It is equipped with X-Ray machines, as well as, state-of-the-art equipment, such as CBCT & OPG. ITS Dental Hospital is one of the select few hospitals in Delhi NCR which have & use CBCT for diagnosis. The dentists perform a complete diagnosis of the dental condition of the patient, as well as, identify existing as well as potential issues.
Endodontics: It is the dental specialty that is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of oral diseases of the dental pulp and the surrounding tissues.
Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics was established in the year 2006. Prosthodontics- Crowns & Dentures: Prosthodontics is a dental specialty that focuses on dental prostheses. These prostheses are used to rehabilitate chewing, improve aesthetics, and aid speech. A dental prosthesis may be held in place by connecting to teeth or dental implants, by suction, or by being held passively by surrounding muscles. Prostheses can either be fixed permanently or removable.
Orthodontics: Orthodontics is a specialty of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis, prevention, and correction of mal-positioned teeth and jaws with the use of braces and aligners. It can also focus on modifying facial growth, known as dentofacial orthopedics.
Oral Surgery: Oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMFS) specializes in the surgery of the face, mouth, and jaws. Treatments may be performed on the craniomaxillofacial complex: mouth, jaws, face, neck, and skull.
Pedodontics: Pedodontics is the dental department that looks after all dental treatments of babies, kids, and teenagers. Periodontics: Periodontology or periodontics is the specialty of dentistry that studies supporting structures of teeth, as well as diseases and conditions that affect them. The supporting tissues are known as the periodontium, which includes the gingiva (gums), alveolar bone, cementum, and periodontal ligament.
Oral Pathology: Oral and maxillofacial pathology refers to the diseases of the mouth ("oral cavity" or "stoma"), jaws ("maxillae" or "gnath"), and related structures such as salivary glands, temporomandibular joints, facial muscles and perioral skin (the skin around the mouth). It is also prone to a variety of medical and dental disorders.
Community & Public health camps: ITS Dental Hospital organizes multiple initiatives for the betterment of the oral health of society. This department plays an important role in planning and executing such initiatives. The camps organized are Rural Dental Camps, Pedo (School) camps, Society Dental Camps & Corporate Dental Camps
