Metal braces also known as traditional braces. They are the most commonly used braces. Traditional Metal Braces
are the most common type of braces. These braces have a metal bracket with elastic(rubber band) ties holding the wire onto the metal brackets.Self ligating braces
Self ligating braces can be both traditional metal or ceramic with clips that hold on to the wire instead of rubber band tie system. They hold onto less food and also there are reduced number of visits.
Ceramic braces
In Ceramic braces the brackets are made up of ceramic which is the same colour and texture as of the teeth, thus are less visible.
Invisible orthodontics
Lingual braces
Lingual braces are one of the many types of the fixed orthodontic treatment appliances available for patients needing orthodontics. They involve attaching the orthodontic brackets on the inner sides of the teeth. The main advantage of lingual braces is their near invisibility compared to the standard braces, which are attached on the buccal (cheek) sides of the tooth.
Clear aligners
Clear aligners—such as Invisalign—are an effective alternative with several benefits compared to traditional braces, especially for adults. They are invisible and easily removable with the benefit of maintaining oral hygiene.
