ITS Dental Hospital is part of the ITS Dental College & Research Center which is located adjacent to the hospital. The institute offers a five-year graduation course in Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), and a three-year post-graduation course in Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) program in the specializations of oral medicine, oral surgery, orthodontics, prosthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, and pedodontics. The college offers an extensive more-than-the-syllabus learning experience for BDS students. Students are provided with multiple facilities through airy state-of-the-art labs, CBCT, CAD – CAM Lab, Simulation Lab, Implant center, and other diagnostic tools. In addition, they provide internships, expert talks, industry visits, and job placements in top-notch companies. While Clinical exposure is provided through the dental hospital and clinic. This exposes students to a myriad of learning opportunities and practical applications which brushes their skills needed to become a qualified dental professionals. The college strives to be an all-rounder in its approach. Several cultural and academic events are organized throughout the year such as the white coat ceremony, convocation, national conferences, expert talks, workshops, celebrity visits, sports day,s and more. Apart from the courses, the college has also established an ‘Advanced Research Facility’ that has been availed since 2016. The research center aims to educate students in the rapidly growing fields of Life Sciences and Metallurgical studies. Scholars are given the opportunity to perform research and thesis in the following fields: Microbiology, Genomics, Pathology, Biochemistry, Hematology, Tissue culture, Metal & Metallurgy.
ITS Dental College has been a recipient of many prestigious academic achievements owning to the insightful training and research at the college by scholastic students. In a recent happenstance, 2 out of 6 dental theses were approved by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Pan India. These 2 theses belong to none other than the MDS students of ITS Dental College - Dr. Simran Kaur Makkar Dpt of Oral Medicine & Radiology, Dr. Ritika Gupta, Department of Periodontics. The college humbly looks forward to more such achievements under their wing.
